    Summary
On October 7, this year, the Scientific Council at the Institute of Literature discussed the work of Acad. Mihail Arnaudov "From the History of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The Bulgarian Literary Society in Braila (1869-1876)". In their reviews, Assoc. Prof. Georgi Dimov and Nikolay Todorov give an affirmative assessment of the work, indicating in detail its merits and at the same time making some recommendations for its improvement. In his review, Georgi Dimov emphasizes the task that the author of the work set himself - to study the long-term process of maturing the idea of organizing a scientific center, as a result of which the Literary Society in Braila was created. The work traces the activity of this cultural center for a certain period - until 1876, when it practically ceased to exist, and its activity was resumed after the Liberation under different socio-historical and cultural conditions. On a very broad scale and using rich factual material, Acad. M. Arnaudov focuses on the efforts of the Bulgarians for an independent educational and scientific-cultural life since the beginning of the 19th century, and in this way the exposition in many places turns into a history of the development of spiritual life in general during the Revival. The author's broad erudition has allowed him to build his study on a comparative-historical basis - he acquaints the reader with similar phenomena in neighboring and more distant countries, which could serve as an example for our Revival figures. An expert on that era, the author freely handles historical sources, presents materials of various nature, drawn from the periodical press, from correspondence, from general and literary works or from previous research. Thus, the reader has the opportunity to see how the idea of organizing special societies or centers with the task of working for the advancement of Bulgarian enlightenment, education, culture, etc. is taken up by one or another figure, what content is put into it, in what specific form they want to carry out their patriotic undertakings. The author examines cultural and educational phenomena against the background of social reality. The difficulties that accompany the realization of this work are thoroughly presented. True thoughts are also expressed about the struggle between the two trends in emigration.

    Summary
A remarkable work in literary science is the recently published second edition of "Psychology of Literary Creativity" by Academician Mikhail Arnaudov. This work is a scientific and literary study of the psychological foundations of the creative process in writers and of its precise, albeit difficult to perceive determinism. Academician M. Arnaudov has mastered a methodology that has enabled him to make a realistic interpretation of the creative process. He applies the juxtaposition of opposing and contradictory poetic experiences and opinions, which he arranges in such a way as to highlight the objective truth about the creative process. In "Psychology of Literary Creativity" a huge amount of material from the poetic wealth of the classics of the 18th and 19th centuries is used, and mainly those confessions of poets are given that lead to the treasures of their creative thoughts and impulses. On a number of issues of literary psychology the author has discovered an opportunity for further research, indicating the path that should be followed. He usually does not lead discussions with the creators, but acts as a conductor of discussions held between them. In this way he ensures the integrity of the facts and the originality of their evidentiary force. Acad. M. Arnaudov does not strive for formulations. For him, individual peculiarities are important, which also reveal common characteristics, and at the same time lead to the laws of psychic experiences. The work is developed in a very broad plan of problems. The world's artistic and psychological experience is used, and in places parallels are made between different arts. As prerequisites for the psychology of creativity, the problems of genius, race and humanity, about the influence of heredity, environment and culture, about Mikhail Arnaudov. Psychology of literary creativity. 1965. 120 degeneration and neuroses. On these issues, the author has come to materialist conclusions. Particularly valuable is his work with arguments and evidence against all mysticism, demonism, racism and neurosis, the supporters of which most often seek evidence precisely in the work of poets, as an exceptionally wonderful area in which, they claim, the laws of ordinary mental life are invalid. The author proves to us just the opposite: creativity is health, work, perseverance, diligence, humanity and the struggle with everything painful. "Creativity is clarification and spiritual purification. How could the artist become an interpreter of thoughts and longings in his contemporaries if he does not rise above all internal limitations and above everything chaotic in himself?"

For the modern reader, Kiril Hristov was until recently an almost unknown author; a poet with a strange and unusual fate, preserved in the minds of his descendants mainly through his ideological and artistic transgressions. His first works, which brought the poet fame and recognition, were until a few years ago a bibliographical rarity. That is why few could imagine the spontaneous approval with which critics and writers greeted his poetic debut. Because K. Hristov really began his writing career brilliantly. Moreover, he became the exponent of a social and psychological necessity, gave the first example of frank love poetry, created magnificent lyrical miniatures, brilliant little songs about the beauty of nature and the immediacy of human feeling.
