Ангел Игов е роден на 3 юли 1981 г. в София. Завършва І АЕГ и СУ "Св. Кл. Охридски". Специализира в Университета на Роухемптън, Лондон и в Университета на Калифорния, Бъркли, със стипендия по програма "Фулбрайт". Стипендиант на международната програма "Халма" (2010). Автор на романа "Кратка повест за срама" (2011), спечелил конкурса на фондация "Елизабет Костова" за превод на английски език, и на два сборника с разкази: "Срещи на пътя" (2002) и "К." (2006); първият печели наградата "Южна пролет", а вторият е номиниран за наградата "Елиас Канети". Носител на награда от конкурса "Рашко Сугарев" за разказа "Всичко". Бил е литературен наблюдател в предаването на TV7 "5 по Рихтер", в. "Култура", сп. "Мениджър" и Sofia Live. Номиниран за наградата "Христо Г. Данов" за представяне на българската книга. Водил е предаването "Всяка събота" по радио "Нет". Член на журито на конкурса за роман "Вик" (2007) и на конкурса за поетична книга "Иван Николов" (2009). Превел е на български език романи от Пол Остър, Мартин Еймис, Иън Макюън, Анджела Картър и др., както и "Лирически балади" на Уилям Уърдзуърт и Самюъл Тейлър Колридж. Двукратно номиниран за наградата за превод "Кръстан Дянков".

The article examines the translation of novel titles containing quotations from the Shakespearean corpus. The quotation title is considered as both paratext and intertext. Translators’ approaches to the rendering of titles with Shakespearean intertext in different target languages are compared, with a particular focus on Bulgarian examples. The aim of the study is to search for characteristic solutions in translations that deserve to be discussed. The article proposes and problematizes three translation strategies: the search for dynamic equivalence, neutralization, and compensation. The collected data, which do not claim to be exhaustive, are presented in tables, followed by analytical comments. Rather than presupposing conclusions, the comparative analysis interprets the data as they are.
